ANSU named after chukwuemeka odumegwu ojukwu,biafran hero

The legislative approval was done after the state legislature passed a bill that provided for the amendment of the state owned university's establishment law in order to effect the change of it's name as an honour to the late Biafran war lord Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu (Ikemba Nnewi). With this development, the university's slogan will now be COOU instead of ANSU.
